Nikon FE
Introduced: 1978

Nikon FE is Nikon's entry-level aperture-priority SLR from 1978-1983 — the consumer-grade counterpart to the professional F2/F3. The FE introduced aperture-priority autoexposure to Nikon's 35mm lineup at an accessible price point; it pairs with the FM (mechanical-only sibling) as Nikon's two-stock semi-pro SLR option for the late 1970s.
