MD Rokkor 50mm f/1.7 is Minolta's standard kit prime in the MD-mount Rokkor lineup — included as a kit lens with millions of XD-11 and X-700 bodies. The MD-mount aperture coupling enables full shutter-priority and program AE on compatible bodies (vs the older MC-mount which is aperture-priority only).
