Fujinon SW 105mm f/8
Fujinon SW 105mm f/8 is the mild-wide compact Super Wide LF lens — equivalent to roughly 30mm on 35mm when used on 4×5. Sits between the 90 SW and 125 SW in the older Fujinon SW lineup.
Key features
- Mount: Copal 0 shutter (1s to 1/500, X-sync at all speeds)
- Focal length: 105mm
- Maximum aperture: f/8
- Image circle: ~250mm at f/22 — covers 4×5 with generous movements; covers 5×7
- Optical formula: Symmetrical wide-angle
- Single-coated on early; multi-coated later
Use case + rendering
The 105 SW is the moderately-wide 4×5 for landscape and architectural work where some inclusive perspective is wanted but the dramatic-wide character of 90mm is too aggressive. Less common than the 90 or 125 SW; pricing reflects modest demand.
