Fujinon NSWS 90mm f/8
Fujinon NSWS 90mm f/8 is the modern multi-coated Super Wide Special at 90mm — successor to the older SW series with EBC multi-coating standard, slightly larger image circle, and improved optical correction. Equivalent to roughly 28mm on 35mm.
Key features
- Mount: Copal 0 shutter (1s to 1/500, X-sync at all speeds)
- Focal length: 90mm
- Maximum aperture: f/8
- Image circle: ~235mm at f/22 — covers 4×5 with generous movements; covers 5×7
- Optical formula: Modern symmetrical wide-angle
- EBC multi-coating standard
Use case + rendering
The 90 NSWS is the upgraded modern compact 4×5 wide — gives the 90mm focal length at f/8 (lighter than SWD f/5.6) with multi-coating that handles backlit subjects substantially better than the older single-coated SW 90/8. A frequent buy for current Fujinon-system LF photographers.
